Meet Brandon D. Holmes, MAI: Your Trusted Montana Certified General and Appraisal Institute MAI Designated Real Estate Appraiser.

Born and raised in Iowa, Brandon D. Holmes found his true calling amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Montana. In 1995, he made the pivotal move to Bigfork, Montana, immersing himself in leadership training in addition to the residential and commercial construction industry.

​

After completing his two-year degree at Flathead Valley Community College, Brandon continued his academic pursuits in Missoula, earning a degree in Business Management from the University of Montana. The foundation laid during these years set the stage for his future in the real estate appraisal industry.

​

With a passion for real estate appraisal, Brandon embarked on his journey in 2005. He honed his skills during a 3 ½ -year appraiser apprenticeship in Kalispell, Montana, culminating in the achievement of his Montana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License in 2009. This marked the inception of Holmes Real Estate Appraisal Co.

Brandon's commitment to excellence is evident in his continuous pursuit of knowledge. In 2013, he achieved the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, a testament to his dedication to the highest standards in the field.

Residing in the Bigfork area of the Flathead Valley, the Holmes family thrives in the local community, engaging in activities like hiking in the Jewel Basin, camping in the North Fork, skiing and snowboarding at Blacktail Mountain, and enjoying the beauty of cross-country skiing throughout the valley.

​

As advocates for education, Brandon and his wife provide their children with a well-rounded education through home schooling and at home, hands on, life skills learning. They actively participate in the Homeschool Theatre Club, the Swan River Buttons and Bows 4H club, and contribute to their local church and community.

​

Brandon remains at the forefront of the appraisal industry through continuous education, attending courses, and participating in seminars. He aligns with industry standards and techniques recommended by the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers, and the Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
